This privately owned, recently renovated traditional 2 bedroom house sleeps 6, has breathtaking mountain views and provides a brilliant base for a summer retreat or a winter skiing holiday. The Ski areas of Kreischberg, Turracher Hohe, St. Margarethen, and St. Michael are all within 25 mins drive from the house.
Walking/Cycling - Adjacent to a walking/cycle path which runs alongside the River Muhr and is the longest cycle path in Europe approx. 300 kms.
Sightseeing - Situated in what is generally referred to as the green heart of Austria, with beautiful panoramic scenery, 1 hour from Salzburg airport, 10 mins from the market town of Tamsweg, 20 mins from the town of Murau both these local towns have much to offer in the way of shops, restaurants, coffee shops etc.
Alpine walking - During the summer months the ski lifts are in operation for walkers, there are many alpine huts to stop for refreshments.
Golf - there are a number of golf courses available in the area all within 30 mins, drive. The new golf club Murau-Kreischberg was recently voted the best new course in Austria.
The Murtalbahn Tamsweg narrow gauge railway, which is the second longest in Austria, runs from Unzmarkt to Tamsweg running past the house alongside the river Muhr, for those who don't wish to use a car all the time the railway is very convenient as the station at Madling is a 5 min walk away. For those who wish to do some fly-fishing this can be arranged as the river Muhr runs past the house.
